WARNING THIS IS A REALLY LONG BRAG POST ABOUT MYSELF:
Its a good thing I started early this year because making 8 of these quilts took a little longer then I thought (about 6 months longer) but I did get all pf them done on time for everyone to get them on Christmas. I was very happy how they turned out...exactly what I imagined them to which is a feat I think considering I had no pattern, I'm sure glad to be done but it was A LOT of fun to make!
Each quilt had the same five games, backgammon and checkers were two of them....
I made 40 of these little creatures or ones similar for playing pieces
I made chutes and ladders this was the most time consuming part of the quilt but by far my FAVORITE part. I had to cut out 800 squares, paint(with fabric paint) 800 numbers on and then sew them all together then I hand sewed all the ladders and chutes on.
Here is the complete quilt, (I also did tic-tac-toe and a candyland panel) All the pieces fit into the white pockets. I finish most of them off with jean squares on the back. (I ran out of jeans so I had to improvise which also looked great)
I had my older sister for Christmas this year and when I found a similar wreath to this one on Pinterest I knew I HAD to make one for her, I'm a little sad she liked it so much because I was hoping she would give it back ;)
This is a pillow I made for one of my nephews, it has a pocket on the back to hold all the pieces and its a "monster" Mr Potato head.
I finally got to try out this crochet pattern that Ive been holding onto for over a year now, TOO MUCH FUN! That's all I can say!
I love making stuff for people and I LOVE giving, it is just too much fun.... Darren has told me this is my last year making stuff for EVERYONE but I have to admit I still have the itch...........
TIME WILL ON TELL WHAT HAPPENS NEXT YEAR ;)
