What a Weekend!

I have learned staying up too late can really mess me up right now. This last month I have been taking a sleeping pill the doctor gave me so I would get some more sleep, so I've been taking it between 10:00-11:00 every night and ask Darren I'm out for the rest of the night. Well Friday night my brother Lucas and his wife Shanell came over along with Leslie and Matt (Shanell's sister and husband) and we sat chatting and laughing.....SO MUCH FUN....Darren and my faces hurt so bad from laughing so hard. We did get to bed pretty late and Darren had a service project to go to in the morning and plus it was the BSU vs. UI game.......I was so excited here are some pictures.....what a game!!!
If you look closely behind us there is a scary dude behind us painted in black!

All of us minus Darren he was on the end and got volunteered to take the picture....

This guy was standing in front of us, shoving a REALLY nasty smelling hot dog in his face but check out where he was keeping his gum safe!

This was to prove WE did score the first touchdown....just not much more after that!

Here they come a running

This was our favorite dancer...she could REALLY shake it!

It was fun....never imagined hearing such bad language in such a short amount of time or seeing as many people wasted in one given area. But I do it again just a little differently. We sat WAY too close to the student section! After the game we went to wingers together and to the new James Bond movie, also very fun but it was LATE when we got home and early church was rough....it's taken a few days to bounce back!

My first tag:High School

1. Did you date someone from your school? I went on dates with some of the guys at my school but my actual high school boyfriend went to the high school across town.
2. What kind of car did you drive? I started off driving a Ford Tempo but it was a beast and didn't last long so I drove my mothers Chevy Astro  Van around for most of it.
3. Did you pass your drivers test on your first try? Yes
4. Were you a party animal? Nope
5. Were you considered a flirt? A lot of people have told me I was but I don't remember being one.
6. Were you in band, orchestra or choir? I played the violin, in orchestra
7. Were you a nerd? Not really, I mean I was weird but I only did enough work to get by.
8. Were you on any varsity teams? Nope, me any sort of sport doesn't mix.
9. Did you ever get suspended/expelled? Never, and no detention either!
10. Can you still sing the fight song? I mumbled my way through it in high school so highly doubtful.
11. Who were your favorite teachers? At the time I hated him, Mr. Porter, (Sophomore and Junior year) but now when I look back he taught me a lot that I still use so he would be one of them, Mr. Lababee (SP?) my freshman math teacher, Mr. Deathridge, my Senior mythology teacher
12. Where did you sit for lunch? I either went home for lunch or ate at the Seminary building
13. What is you schools full name? Richland High School
14. What is your schools mascot and colors? Our mascot was the bombers (very controversial) especially because instead of putting the plan on the high school paraphernalia they put a huge mushroom cloud, our colors were dark/sometimes pea green and gold
15. Did you go to homecoming and with who? Junior Year I went with Kenny Rhoten and Senior year I went with Stephen Carr
16. If you could go back and do it again would you? NEVER! It was not the best time of my life.
17. What did you remember most about graduation? Our "song" that they chose to play sounded pretty awful (except the violin); it was soooooo HOT we were cooking. We had our outfits under our robes checked, and it seemed to last forever, especially because my class was so big I knew no one I was sitting by.
18. Where did you go for senior skip day? School! They threaten that we would not graduate if we were not there that day and every last class of mine had a huge test that day that let's face it my grade could not handle missing!
19. Were you in any clubs? I didn't have time I worked and I was the Seminary VP on the Seminary Council my Senior year
20. Have you gained some weight since then? A little, until now that I'm pregnant and I gain more by the day
21. Who was you prom date? I only went to senior prom and it was with Renton Maxfield
22. Are you planning on going to your 10 year reunion? Probably not, I hung out with mostly the grade below me so it wouldn't be that exciting!
23. Did you have a job in high school? Yes I worked at the Dairy Queen in the Mall and I loved every minute of it, NOW that's something I would do again!
I tag Megan, Michelle, and Courtney

A foggy day and some changes...

We walked out our door for church on Sunday to a lot of fog you can see we couldn't see much past the apartments across the street, and it stayed like that for the rest of the day. Kinda Gloomy!
School and work has been keeping us pretty busy and the extra time we do have, we work on our christmas projects, I think I might have started too many we'll see if I get them all done Darren has been really helpful.
My last day at Michael's will be on Friday and I will be starting at A&W, yes fast food, but it's with in walking distance and it will pay the bills. Can't complain about that!
The most exciting news though is the apartments we have been waiting for opened up early so we should be in them by the first of December. YAHOO!

We Voted!

Well as today is election day Darren and I planned a time to go vote. It was going to be perfect, right between two of his classes, well it didn't turn out that way.   Since we just moved here we needed to register before we voted, and we asked around and found out we needed to go to the fairgrounds luckily that's not too far from our house. So we get our information and we head out the door and it is raining/snowing fine no big deal until we get to the fairground and it is mud puddle after mud puddle with no close parking.  We trudged inside filled out the registration form and got in line. This is when we find out our piece of mail to verify our address is too new, it needed to be post dated before October 5, 2008 (which I have thrown all the envelopes away).  So we drove home to find our utility bill and drove back trudged through the mud for a second time and this time we are told that we can only vote at the Kibbie dome on the other side of town. Exciting huh.... we were thinking maybe this voting thing wasn't for us....but we hung in there and voted....What a headache! Something that should have taken max 15 minutes ended up taking over an hour.

Carving Pumpkins/Halloween

We weren't planning on carving pumpkins this year due to the amount of intoxicated collage students that live around us, (that we knew were going to just smash it) but we ended up carving one anyway just to be a little festive.  When I went to pick out the pumpkin there were only about five more pumpkins to choose from so well beggars can't be choosers.  Halloween night we spent inside to avoid the crazy students who started drinking at about 4:00 p.m.. We did get some scary movies in which was a perfect night in my eyes.
