Wow...Lots to tell about...

TWIN LAKES was a lot of fun...we joined Clint and Patrecia on Wednesday night and it was raining, Thursday morning was cool but nice and Darren got his first ski run in, but then the clouds rolled back in and we played games and us girls stayed in the warm cabin and visited and read while the boys went out fishing that evening....it was a good night for them they brought home a pretty good amount of fish sooo YUMMY. Friday was beautiful and we packed it trying to fit what we did last year in one week into one day this year was exhausting but SOO FUN!

Here is Darren.....he really knows how to show off!

We didnt get any picture of me but I tried the one ski thing and they said I almost got up but I was too tired later that evening I went doubles and got up which I was happy with.

Here he is makeing it look REALLY easy.

Millard showing the kids how to swing on the rope swing...
This is Kloee and Darren going for Kloee's first dip, the water is actually pretty warm but still cold enough that your first jump takes your breath away....
Just the toes
and then.....wow thats cold she did not like it at all!
Here Darren is gearing up for the ride around the lakes
and me I really didnt know what I was getting myself into, it was a hard ride lots of steep hills but Darren was very patient with me and we did it in about two hours not bad for my first real exercise since I had Kloee. I wish I would have remembered to do an after shot, I was sunburned and beat red from it afterwards, but Id do it again next year (and to think Clint didnt think Id make it, he was ready to come find us when we rode back into the cabin)
On Friday night I got to go fishing and I did catch one and Clint let me pull one of his in as well. What a fun relaxing weekend! Thanks Patrecia for watching Kloee so we could pack our day so full!

Trip to Portland

A couple weekends ago we went to Portland because my cousin got off his mission it was so great to see everyone its been a long time.

Here are the three "Belle's" Verna Belle(my grandma) Tessa Belle and Kloee Belle
Her she is with Alex (the man of the hour)
And here are the cousins jamming out on rock band.
Such a fun weekend!

A Jam session

Well one of my goals this summer is to complete at least a three month food storage and after these last couple weeks I think I have my 2 year supply of jam and it is all so yummy. I finally got around to making my huckleberry jam from the huckleberries I pick with Jason and Melissa last year I was worried that because I took so long to make it that it wouldnt taste very good but oh so YUMMY and since we are blessed to have Patrecia's garden so close I got some of her left over strawberries and raspberries so I made some strawberry and raspberry jam and my dads garden had some extra rhubarb so I made some strawberry rhubarb and raspberry rhubarb and they are all so good.

Think back to Fathers day.

I was put in charge of Fathers day dinner this year as I live with Mom and Dad right now. We made some of Dads favorite food from the Philippines (where he served his mission) we had lumpia, ponsit, variations of fish and last but not least we had some baloot for him(half grown duck in an egg YUMMY RIGHT?) For dessert I made cherry pie, my first time but thanks to some pointers from Patrecia and a lot of her pie cherries it was a success. Darren helped to of course (he is so good to me)
The cherries we so pretty I could help but take pictures
These are cherries in the water just before pitting started
Darren making the edges "pretty" for me
The pitting process (the pictures got a little out of order)
Filling the pie
and the end product the left over cherries I decided to can, lets just say that was an ordeal but its dont and I cant wait to make more cherry pies.
Darren got kinda neglected because of how busy I was working on the dinner for Dad but he did get his new airsoft gun that he is looking forward to using soon!

While you were out

While Erikka (my little sister) was in Portland visiting her cousins mom, dad, megan and I redid her room (Darren helped a lot too)
We made a vanity and redid all her pictures in black. The theme was RED WHITE and BLACK
Her new closet (she didnt have one before)
and new bedding
It took all week and a lot of late nights but she loved it and that made it all worth it.
