Darren is my Rockstar!

So I've been drooling over these wooden pallet shelves I found on pinterest for a while and Darren brought them to life for me. I love how handy he his, and he is always making my dreams come true!

He was pretty skeptical until we got them on the wall with the stuff on them, I am SERIOUSLY so happy how they turned out.

Christmas Projects

WARNING THIS IS A REALLY LONG BRAG POST ABOUT MYSELF:
Its a good thing I started early this year because making 8 of these quilts took a little longer then I thought (about 6 months longer) but I did get all pf them done on time for everyone to get them on Christmas. I was very happy how they turned out...exactly what I imagined them to which is a feat I think considering I had no pattern, I'm sure glad to be done but it was A LOT of fun to make!
Each quilt had the same five games, backgammon and checkers were two of them....
I made 40 of these little creatures or ones similar for playing pieces
I made chutes and ladders this was the most time consuming part of the quilt but by far my FAVORITE part. I had to cut out 800 squares, paint(with fabric paint) 800 numbers on and then sew them all together then I hand sewed all the ladders and chutes on.
Here is the complete quilt, (I also did tic-tac-toe and a candyland panel) All the pieces fit into the white pockets. I finish most of them off with jean squares on the back. (I ran out of jeans so I had to improvise which also looked great)
I had my older sister for Christmas this year and when I found a similar wreath to this one on Pinterest I knew I HAD to make one for her, I'm a little sad she liked it so much because I was hoping she would give it back ;)
This is a pillow I made for one of my nephews, it has a pocket on the back to hold all the pieces and its a "monster" Mr Potato head.
I finally got to try out this crochet pattern that Ive been holding onto for over a year now, TOO MUCH FUN! That's all I can say!

I love making stuff for people and I LOVE giving, it is just too much fun.... Darren has told me this is my last year making stuff for EVERYONE but I have to admit I still have the itch...........
TIME WILL ON TELL WHAT HAPPENS NEXT YEAR ;)

Christmas!

For Christmas my family rented a cabin at camp Zerahemla it was a lot of fun, we spent 4 days doing crafts, relaxing, eating great food, playing games and just enjoying being together.
We chopped down our own Christmas tree.....
This is what the cabin looked like....
The kitchen.......
There was also a loft where we ALL slept, which the kids loved, that was the only drawback for me, I worried so much about my girls crying at night I got very little sleep, but it was still fun.
Kloee decided the marker was lipstick it was so funny!
The tree all decorated!
Kloee got sick on Christmas eve, once we could get her t keep some medicine in her and the fever down she perked up for Christmas Day.
Jammies in front of the tree!
We drove into town on Christmas to go to church so we waited till after to open presents, which was great for us except it ended up being during nap time so it made for an interesting time....the girls enjoyed and that's what is important.
It was a great Christmas spent with family. We are so blessed with so much family and loved ones to spend the Holidays with.

The little red......

SHOPPING CART!!!!
I've been searching yard sales for over a year for a shopping cart for my girls and I had yet to find one. I was so excited when Darren text me with a picture from work, one of his co-workers GAVE this to the girls for Christmas. I was in SHOCK, so exciting (I may or may not have been more excited then them) They LOVE it, and are constantly fighting over it.
She had just woken up from a nap so she isn't jumping off the walls or anything but its a great Thank you video!

Darren, my sister Megan, my nephew Jakob and I ran the Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving day. SO. MUCH. FUN. I think we will be doing it again next year. I think it would be a great tradition to start. Jakob pretty much showed us all up, I couldn't keep up with him he's only 9 and he's tiny but wow what a runner!!!

A day with the Burch Boys!

At the beginning of Thanksgiving break we got to have a day with my nephews while y sister and her husband had a day out! It was such a fun day. It snowed most of the day and Darren and the boys had a lot of fun attempting to make a snowman it was so fun to watch them....

Us girls stayed warm inside and watched from the window, I also had a chance to work on some Christmas gifts with my little sister.

We also enjoyed snuggling up watching movies and playing video games...Kloee loves being with these boys. THEY ARE TOO MUCH FUN.
