My heart is TRULY changed and touched....

This morning I finally finished "Daughters in My Kingdom" this is a book that the sisters in my church all received fairly recently. I am completely moved with all the stories of true dedication the women of my faith have had over the years.
This book really brought things into perspective for me. I think in the world we live in too many women want to be like men I have always been puzzled by this and after reading this book, I have realized how important it is for us to be WOMEN, we have such and important role in this life and so many depend on us. I'll admit parts of this book left me thinking how in world do I have time to accomplish all that the Lord has asked of me and expects me to do. Right after those parts though are encouragements and promises of blessings if we have the faith to do what is required. This book is inspired of God and has strengthened my testimony of the Relief Society. I am so blessed to have this in my life. If you haven't had a chance to read it yet.....DO IT....you wont regret it. I am looking forward to implementing this book into my life, I feel it has so many answers on how to be a great women, wife, daughter, sister, and friend. All of which I can only hope to be great at some day.

I'm just in the last chapter and have been reading it a little bit at a time along with my regular scripture study. I agree with you, it is so great! It really has helped me increase my testimony of the need for visiting teaching and being a part of relief society. I love the importance it places on motherhood.

I believe it was inspired by God, also, and that women do truly need to hear how important we are. Because the world definitely won't tell us that. I'll bet you are a great RS Pres.

It really is a fabulous book. I'm not quite done with it yet, but it's wonderful to have at our fingertips reminders of the history of Relief Society and of the courage of women in our church and the way they worked and sustained the church leaders.

Even without the great stories and testimonies, it looks like a book I would want to read. It's beautiful, has rounded corners, and the pictures are lovely. I also appreciate that the quotes on the sidebars are different than the ones in the text. I can't even count how many times I'm reading an article and glace over to read the little quote and it's exactly what I just read.
I like reading your blog.
